Your first stop will be the Karnak Temple, one of the most famous and well-known temples in all of Egypt. Originally called Bar-Amun, which means the house of the god Amun, it's now known as Apt Sot, which means the chosen area or the chosen spot. You'll be amazed by the stunning architecture and the rich history of this ancient temple.
After exploring the Karnak Temple, you'll take a break before boarding a Nile cruise for a relaxing lunch with stunning views of the Nile River.
Next, you'll visit the Luxor Temple, one of the most beautiful and important temples in all of ancient Egypt. Built more than 4,000 years ago, it's still in use today and is home to the Theban Trinity of gods: Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. You'll learn about the rich history of this important temple and the impressive additions made by the eighteenth and nineteenth dynasty kings.
As you explore the temple, you'll see chapels set up by King Thutmose III and King Tutankhamun for visitors to the Holy Trinity of Thebes. You'll also see the triple cabin, which was destroyed during the reign of Queen Hatshepsut and King Thutmose III but was rebuilt during the reign of King Ramses II.
The Luxor Temple, also known as "Ibet-Reset," is a place of worship dedicated to the god Amun-Ra. It's one of the best-preserved Egyptian temples, and its layout is clearly evident in its impressive architecture.
